“President Obama answered questions on YouTube today. He was asked 7,500 times about legalizing marijuana… and that was just from Chad in Portland.” –Conan O’Brien

…not quite so funny when you’re the one being denied your medicine!

While it’s only taken a little over two years for the Commissioner of the garden state’s health department, Mary O’Dowd, who stated yesterday “that right now, today… a patient which has gone through the process of finding a physician which agrees with marijuana, as a medicinal remedy for their current ailment – and for which they have been in a long-term “bona-fide patient physician relationship” with – will now be able to have their physician register them with the state of New Jersey’s medical marijuana program. The patient would then receive an ID number that would be given to them by their doctor, and through the state of New Jersey. Once the patient has this ID number they can simply fire off the information in an e-mail to the state of New Jersey. Who will put together their brand-new medical marijuana ID card for them.
