USA: Pro-pot judge will be Gary Johnson’s VP pick | Marijuana.com

Libertarian presidential candidate and N.M. Gov. Gary Johnson has selected California Judge Jim Grey, a prominent of marijuana legislation, to become his running mate, The Daily Caller is familiar with.

The choice to run with Grey “puts pot front-and-center within the campaign,” one Manley agent told TheDC, before adding that Johnson’s opposition towards the war in Afghanistan will probably remain the campaign’s determining problem.

Based on the biography on his website, Grey “currently presides within the civil trial calendar for that Superior Court of Oc.” Grey formerly offered within the Peace Corps, was a lawyer within the Navy JAG Corps, and punished cases within the La U.S. Attorney’s Office. He went like a Libertarian against California Democratic Sen. Barbra Boxer in 2004.

Other possible options for Johnson’s running mate incorporated Judge Andrew Napolitano, a Fox News fixture, and former California Repetition. Craig Goldwater, Junior.
