Dutch Judge Rules in Favor of 'Weed Pass' for Cafes | Marijuana.com

On May first, vacationers passing with the Southern Provinces from the Netherlands is going to be legally barred from entering and buying marijuana from coffee houses because of a Nederlander judge’s (asinine) ruling today. As the decision won't affect Amsterdam’s coffee shops, bookstores until the coming year, cafe proprietors from coast to coast are (and also have been for quite a while) within an uproar within the now imminent ‘Weed Pass’ law.

The Nederlander judge concurred with government lawyer Eric Daalder’s belief that legally barring vacationers from buying cannabis will decrease “criminality from the drug trade.” Quite simply, by putting this law into affect, Nederlander legislators think that less foreign cartels will be sending in drug-carrying infidels across Nederlander edges. It’s both a naive along with a false belief.

The only real achievable outcome this is a giant headache for the government and cafe proprietors who'll now appeal the prohibit. And even when their appeal is not successful, don’t expect many changes towards the Netherlands’ greatest tourist attraction in the near future.
